MINDFULNESS WALK: Â Guided Walking MeditationÂ
 Join us for an intimate guided walking meditation as we explore the sidewalks, scenery, and landmarks of Downtown Appleton.  We'll start with a grounding meditation and then head out walking throughout Appleton. I'll share some mindfulness tools and we can explore reconnecting with nature, the community, and ourselves.
There will be stops along the way to educate, practice connecting with the lessons of the elements, or simply enjoy the scenery.
The practice of mindful walking is a powerful wellness practice that can help us to deepen our connection with our body and the earth. We breathe in the air and sunshine, take one mindful step after the other, and come back to our true home. Walking can help to unite body and mind and can help us tune inward to find clarity, peace, and a sense of joyful presence with ourselves.Â
While this is a small group event, the walking meditation is intended to be experienced with space for silent reflection and contemplation at certain points throughout our journey together. That being said, this can still be a great event to share with a loved one or friend as you can share inspirations together from this experience. To be fully present in this experience, there will be no cell phone usage during the walk.Â
The walk itself is about 2.6 miles on trails, sidewalks, low bridges near the water, and some stairs - a moderate activity level should be well tolerated to best enjoy this event fully and safely. Depending on pace of the group, the walk itself should take about 1.5 hrs with time for opening and closing ceremony together.Â
Full details will be sent out prior to the event. Cost is $22 per person for this event.Â
Part of experiencing nature is to embrace and enjoy her many seasons and cycles - so unless there is severe weather, we will keep the event as scheduled so dress and plan accordingly!
If severe weather is in the forecast, I will send a cancellation notice the evening before.
Walking meditation has been a transformational tool on my wellness journey and I look forward to sharing this experience with you!
